Privacy policy

Who we are

This policy applies to the El-Gavish website (the "Site"). The Site is run by its owner, who is responsible for the information collected on it. For any privacy question, reach us through the Contact page.

What we collect and why

Browsing the Site does not require giving personal details. The information collected:

  • Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional) and the message. We use them only to reply to your message, and they are stored in the Site's database. Giving these details is your choice and with your consent; there is no legal obligation to provide them.
  • Spam protection: the form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the sender is not a robot and may process an IP address and browser data. The IP address is also used to limit the number of messages in a short period.
  • Usage statistics (only with your consent): Google Analytics collects data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and visit times, using cookie identifiers. It is used to understand and improve the Site, not to identify you personally.
  • Technical data: the Site's hosting and delivery network may log an IP address and request details for security and operation.

Cookies and third-party services

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. The Site uses them as follows:

  • Your consent choice is stored in the browser's local storage (necessary for operation, not sent to anyone).
  • Google Analytics (cookies _ga and _ga_*, up to about two years): loaded only after you accept. If you reject or have not chosen, the service is not loaded and no statistics cookies are stored.
  • The UserWay accessibility widget: loaded from UserWay's servers to offer display adjustments, and may save your chosen preferences in the browser.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: loaded on the Contact page only, to prevent spam.
  • Your browser settings let you delete or block cookies at any time.

Sharing with third parties

We do not sell information or pass it on for marketing. Information goes only to the service providers that run the Site (hosting, database, spam protection, statistics, accessibility widget), and only to provide the service. Some providers, including Google and Cloudflare, process information on servers outside Israel.

Retention and your rights

Messages are kept as long as needed to handle them, and then deleted. Under the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, you are entitled to review the information held about you, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page and mention the details you gave, so we can find them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information, including an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and restricted access to the database. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is published on this page, with the date of the last update.
